A CITY songwriter is promising to "take listeners on a journey" with the release of her debut album.
Alona Wolf, aged 22, is promoting her new 12-track CD, Descendant Of Pandora, written and produced alongside Ben Gallacher.
Sarah describes the music as "light rock", inspired by American band PVRIS.
"We took the elements used in classic rock, such as strong guitar riffs and heavy drum beats, and incorporated some classical instrumental pieces, coupling the bass guitar with cello in places and layering in piano accompaniment all thrown together with a few synth touches and a strong female vocal," she said.
"I wanted to take the listener on a journey, so the feeling of the music and lyrics change somewhat throughout the course of the 12 tracks.
"The first part of the album centres around the idea of curiosity and the opening of Pandora's box which is coupled with heavy riffs, strong drum beats and grittier vocals.
"From the fourth track onwards I laced together songs about human struggles, pain but also the idea of finding beauty within imperfection and brokenness.
"The final part of the album is about hope because I wanted to leave the listener feeling uplifted and empowered."
Descendant Of Pandora is currently available via iTunes, Google Play, Amazon MP3 and several other online websites and hard copies are available via alonawolf.bigcartel.com
