AN ALBUM produced by an unsigned artist from Plymouth is being listened to by fans from across the globe while raising funds for a national charity.

Gary Chinn, who is also known by his stage name The Spaceking, penned the ten-track album by himself whilst working a full time job as a store manager.

Having taken the best part of 18 months to write, record, publish and distribute, the album – titled Memory – is now available to listen to on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and other global stores – with 50 per cent of all profits going to Cancer Research UK.

Reflecting upon his musical roots, 40-year-old Gary said: "During my twenties, I was in a band and was signed to a record label but I haven't performed professionally for some years.

"This album is actually the first project I have completed solo. I am not signed and have funded the writing, recording, publishing and distribution all by myself.

"I started working on the album back in January of last year. It's taken a long time to complete the ten tracks, as I work full time too, but I hope the project will raise awareness and money for an important cause."
