An inquest is top be held into the death of a man who died the day after spending the night in police custody in Plymouth. Logan Marley Peters died at his home in Milbrook, near Torpoint, on May 8, 2014, after he was arrested the night before on suspicion of criminal damage in a fast food takeaway and held in Plymouth police cells. At a third pre-inquest hearing assistant Coroner for Cornwall Andrew Cox said the jury inquest would begin in Truro on Thursday, May 19, and is expected to last five days. The hearing was attended by Mr Peters' father Rob Peters, his mother Tammy Peters, and his stepfather Chris Matthews. Mr Cox said the inquest will call several witnesses which will include the police officers involved in Mr Peters' arrest and his time in custody, mental health professionals, and his GP. The Independent Police Complaints Commission launched an investigation into the arrest of Mr Peters after a complaint from his family but a report will not be public until after the conclusion of the inquest.
