DEVON X Factor contestant Max Stone has thanked his fans for their support after he was voted off the TV talent show. The Tavistock singer's rendition of Bruce Springsteen's Secret Garden failed to do enough to convince the public to keep him in the competition. Monica Michael was also chucked off the show in controversial circumstances, as host Olly Murs accidentally read out her name before he was supposed to. Max said on Twitter after being voted off in Sunday night's results show: "Thank you everyone for your support! "It means so much to me and I can't wait to share with you all what's next ;) big love to you all X" The former Lifton Primary School pupil - whose real name is Max Pahlsson - sailed through the show's auditions. He then endured the dreaded six-chair challenge and impressed at judges' houses, landing himself in Simon Cowell's final four. The 27-year-old says he decided to audition for the X Factor after building his confidence through performing local gigs.
