Will superstar singer Rod Stewart bring his toy trains with him when he visits Home Park in Plymouth next year?
The rocker admits he is so attached to his model trains that he takes them on tour with him and even books a second hotel room so he can set them up.
He told the Daily Mirror: "All my cases come on the jet and away we go. Every man should have a hobby."
Aside from his portable collection, Stewart's permanent train set at home in Beverly Hills measures 30ft by 110ft – bigger than a tennis court.
He said: "It can never be moved. I have 13 trains running at once. For me, the pleasure has been in the building of it."
The singer said he has even thought about buying himself a full-sized steam engine to continue his hobby.
Speaking on BBC Radio London, he said: "Trains are my life – not just model trains but real steam trains as well.
"I've looked into buying a real one and it's closer than you think. I'd love to own a steam engine and just sit on one."
Stewart, whose 30th solo album Another Country comes out next month, said growing up in London sparked his fascination with trains.
He said: "I was brought up on the Archway Road overlooking the station and Tube lines. So when I got up, I used to see them.
"My dad bought me a train set and it has stayed with me for ever and ever."
He added: "It's a wonderful hobby. People laugh but I don't care."
